Marbella is the metropolis of the Costa del Sol, historically known for luxury, jetset, celebrities, glamor and Puerto Banús as a kind of fleet's epicenter. Many who want to buy a home abroad are snapping at Marbella.
Nightlife, the internationally renowned beach clubs and renowned restaurants still attract many to Marbella. Today, it is above all the nature, the golf clubs, the cosmopolitan community in combination with the more everyday Spanish and genuina that make up Marbella's attractiveness. Marbella town, and its old town with winding alleys, small shops, romantic restaurants as well as the seafront, which now stretches along the Golden Mile all the way down to San Pedro, has a charm that is hard to resist. Across the port of Puerto Banús lies Nueva Andalucia, also known as the Golf Valley, with many beautiful urbanizations. Here is also one of Costa del Sol's Swedish schools with classes up to class 6.

The Swedes' favorite spot in Marbella

The area east of Marbella town consists of residential areas, golf courses and, not least, the Cabopino Marina, surrounded by nature-protected Las Dunas de Artola and Elviria with its unique beautiful forest consisting of medieval buildings. San Pedro de Alcántara is, after Nueva Andalucia, the Swedes absolute smuggling place in Marbella. This is where you are welcome to buy a home. With the relatively new transit tunnel, the new modern boulevard, the coast's finest promenade, modern newbuilding in the area closest to the beach and the old village above the road, San Pedro is hard-hitting. In Marbella, there is the largest hospital in the coast, a sprawling corporate life and several annual cultural events with world artists. Most famous is the summer festival Starlite.
